“Feed Or Bleed India” as the name suggests deals with the fight between Hunger and Hygiene (menstruation) the beggar women go through living on the streets in India. Shot in different parts of India, in shivering winters and scorching summers, this Black & White short film with a dash of colour, brings out the real plight with periods. Even a beggar woman has the right to dignity and the fight just begins here. The nerve-wracking question being asked in the film is “If she is given a Sanitary Pad or a Roti (Indian Flat Bread) what would she pick up first?
– And she says- “Should I feed myself or let me bleed” ? This is a Fight between Roti and Sanitary Pad. A homeless Woman’s plight with Periods.
One of the highlights of the film is its theme song “Pet Bharun, Ya Laaj Dhakun” written by Susheel Jangira, composed by Nayab Ali and sung by Sudakshina Dikshit and Akanksha Pathak. There has been three different DOPs team for three different cities-(Mumbai, Delhi & Amritsar) the film is shot in -Sachin Gupta, Ram Burman & Aakash-Suraj. A very talented young team over all.

From fashion shows, music videos, Khatron Ke Khiladi (Fear Factor) and anchored based shows, from T10 Gully Cricket to Motor Racing to Bollywood Entertainment shows on Zoom Channel Susheel Jangira has done it all.
This model-anchor turned writer-director believes in giving content based cinema. According to her- “There are a lot of films being made on menstruation but nobody cares about beggar women, how they deal with their periods living on the streets. They deal with usual hardships like hunger, on top of that Personal hygiene and periods, nothing can be so hard and harsh on being a woman”
This black & white film represents the dark, dull and dirty (unhygienic) life of homeless beggar women in India. For menstruation bleeding, they still have to deal with, while sleeping on roads. It’s very easy to say that we will rather be clean than being full but bhookhe pet bhajan bhi nahin hote———————————– toh saaf safaikahan se, means-culture of cleanliness is nothing in front of hunger. Nothing is bigger than hunger. Hunger is the prime centre of all living beings on this planet. PERIOD. “This film is a short autobiography of beggar women. I shot for days and months throughout the whole year to capture the extreme summers and winters in different parts of India. I have a passion for content-based cinema that touches your heart and questions your existence?
I consider myself a born writer-director and I believe intently in the “POWER OF PEN” and the “IMPACT OF CINEMA”. quotes Susheel Jangira.
