OTT Platform ‘DON CINEMA’ THREATENED BY AN ISLAMIC OUTFIT FOR RELEASING ‘Muhammad – MESSENGER OF GOD’
DON CINEMA, a popular OTT platform has been threatened by ‘Raza Academy’, an Islamic outfit for its announcement of releasing an Oscar nominee Director Majid Majidi’s film ‘Muhammad- The Messenger of God’ at their office located at, Andheri (W), Mumbai.
The released is planned around Bakr-Eid in August 2020.
Majid Majidi is one of the well-known awarded director, He has directed many Iranian, English and Hindi films. Earlier his Hindi film ‘Beyond The Clouds’ with Ishaan Khattar scored lot of appreciation.
The founder of Don Cinema Mehmood Ali told media that he has informed Mumbai Police Commissioner for protection and security.
‘it is an Iranian movie with an exceptional concept and is a 300 Crores budget. Mehmood Ali said that there are many upcoming Hindi, English and regional blockbuster films and web series as well which was about to release, it got delayed due to lockdown. Soon it will be released with a big bang!
Islamic outfit mentioned in its letter to ‘DON CINEMA’, that it as an act of Blasphemous to release the movie on the Holy Prophet of Islam.
